Darling, you're such a cruel little thing.

You've locked up another poor girl in your wardrobe

Thinking that you can preserve her like mold in a corner.


She isn't some fungus to flourish to the thrum of your heart,

Yet you feel justified enough to plant your poisons on the sweet of her skin.

You know, if you're not careful,

She'll waste away inside your body's cage of bars.

And then you'll have nothing but a skeleton in your closet.









EDIT: Couldn't resist revising this poem and I'm so much happier with it now.
